he/him
Gabriel was raised in Columbia, MD and had the fortunate opportunity of discovering his passion for music at a young age at Phelps Luck Elementary School.
Gabriel pursued his passion for music and earned his Bachelor’s in Music from the University of Maryland, College Park and his Master’s in Music from Carnegie Mellon University. As a musician from an underrepresented background, Gabriel became increasingly aware of the importance of representation and how it impacts the communities our ensembles play for.
Shortly after graduating from CMU in 2021, Gabriel went to work for the Iris Collective in Memphis, TN as part of their artist fellowship. It was here that Gabriel took part in effective programming through community engagement, community outreach, and relationship building. In April 2024, Gabriel earned another fellowship to work with the Grant Park Orchestra in Chicago, IL. In his time with GPO, Gabriel worked with the Chicago Park’s District to program free chamber concerts over the Summer highlighting underrepresented composers.
Gabriel joined PATH in May 2025 and brings his experience in connecting with community members and leaders to create meaningful change.
